Organic Gluten-Free Large Sourdough Style Rolls

These larger 100g sandwich or burger rolls come in bags of 4.

Made from freshly milled flour. The long fermentation allows the aromatic flavours to develop. They taste sweet and yet savoury with a note of hoppy (organic) yeast. No GM, no chemicals used. We call this bread 'Sourdough Style' because they looks and tastes like the bread you buy in markets and yet these are gluten-free. All our breads are made with a sourdough method - not just this one! We call our sourdough a 'leaven' and it differs from a normal sourdough as our method allows more lactic acids to develop (not from milk) which is better for digestion than acetic acid. It also tastes milder - not sour. More on this can be found in our FAQ's. (Sorry to get technical here but it is important)..

    • Keep cool and dry. In very hot & humid weather bread is best stored in the fridge in the bag. During the summer months, we put 4 days ‘best before’ from production and in winter 5 days ‘best before’.

      If you store bread in the bag in the fridge it may keep for quite a few days longer than the ‘best before’ date. Should the bread be left in the sun it may go mouldy ahead of the ‘best before’ date.

      For travelling, you can buy the longer life holiday bread instead.


      Can be toasted - but please note it will not go brown in the toaster as we do not add any sugar to the bread!

      Makes great canapes as the bread holds any topping or filling well.


      If the bread has just gone a little dry - revive it by toasting or steaming it or turn it into croutons for salads and soups. You can bind soups and sauces with it or turn it into breadcrumbs - this bread is too good to waste!


      If there are any signs of mould - throw the whole loaf away as mould spores may be present throughout the bread - not just on the surface where you can see it.

    • Can be frozen for approx. three months.

      OPTIONAL: For that ‘FRESH FROM THE OVEN’ taste: Lightly moisten the rolls with water and pop them in a hot oven 180C-200C for 8-10 minutes. They will taste amazing.
