Go Nuts with Nut-Free Tigernuts...
The Tigernut (cyperus sculentus lativum) or 'Chufa' as it is known in Spanish, is not actually a nut, but a small tuber. It was first discovered 4000 years ago. Tigernuts can be regarded as the world´s first superfood as they were what our ancestors used to eat thousands of years ago. According to research from Oxford University they comprised up to 80% of our Paleo ancestors’ diet around 2 million years ago. Tigernuts have made a great comeback as one of the healthiest foodstuffs on the market. (Information provided by Tigernut Traders)

TIGERNUT FACTS:
Tigernuts contain as much iron as red meat
Tigernuts are high in fibre
Tigernuts contain 3 times more potassium than bananas
Tigernuts contain Vitamin E.
With such historic and nutritional credentials we thought it best to keep it simple and just add some more healthy ingredients like freshly ground golden linseed and cold-pressed virgin olive oil to turn them into a healthy vegan biscuit and pop them in the oven to dry them. Why did it take 2 Million years to come up with a simple healthy biscuit? No added sugar - no junk!
For a biscuit 'sandwich' why not spread some of our Chufatella - great fun and very healthy. Enjoy! NO PALM FAT - NO ANIMAL FAT - NO ADDED SUGAR!!
